What you will learn and contribute to

Summer Trainee Program

Nokia invests in young talents. Every year students of different specializations have a chance to gain their first work experience under the guidance of experienced support. As a summer intern at CNS PACO, you will work with a mentor and team to architect a 5G mobile communications network by performing sample tasks:

• Deployment, integration, and testing the next generation of Mobile Packet Core solutions in customer labs and production networks (in longer term), in a variety of environments such as VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS and OpenShift
• Learning troubleshooting mechanism and empowering problem solving skills on IP networking, contenerized infrastructure and 3gpp standards level
• Learn Mobile Packet Core solutions that meet the needs and requirements of Nokia’s Communication Service providers and Enterprise customers

We work with:

• 5G technologies focused on Packet Core architecture (CMM, CMG, NRD applications)
• IP/MPLS networking,
• Openstack, VMware and Kubernetes and as well AWS and OpenShift
• Python programming for process automation and tools development
• Linux

Your skills and experience

You have:

• Enthusiasm to newest telecommunication technologies
• Solid academic background within one or more areas: Telecommunication, Mobile communication, Physics, Math, or similar directions
• Fundamentals of TCP/IP including routing and switching
• Basic programming skills in one of: Python, C, C++, Java
• Problem solving and analytical skills - min. 1-2 years of academic background
• Good spoken and written English

Duration of the internship: 3 months (July – September)
