The team you’ll be part of

Mobile Networks or Nokia’s People organization.

Mobile Networks is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). There are a few slightly different departments possibly interested in your experience.

Nokia’s People organization is responsible for leading a business-driven people strategy and offering people and workplace services to all Nokia employees. We partner closely with the business to provide a motivated and engaged workforce that is fit for the future.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

  • Learn by working with Nokia machine learning and analytics experts
  • Design and implement solutions by applying ML/AI models
  • Validate the implementation and compare the proposed solutions
  • Explore and get familiar with various open-source software libraries
  • Present research findings through papers and oral presentations within the organization
  • Actively participate in new and challenging projects to gain hands-on experience in machine learning
  • Apply machine learning methods to exciting applications that can positively impact the future of Nokia

Summer Trainee internship is dedicated to people with active student status. The internship usually starts on July 1st and ends on 30th of September.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Student status
  • Very good Python programming skills
  • Understanding of the training process of machine learning models
  • Experience in TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Large autonomy in work, ability to ask for support, good communication, strong attention to details
  • At least an intermediate command of English
