Who we are and what we do at Shell:

We power Process transformation and Data optimization, enabled by new digital technologies (Systems). As Product Owners for strategic group systems dedicated to planning and reporting we are uniquely placed to drive alignment between Finance, IT and the Businesses we support. Product Owners are supported by team members responsible for delivery of day-to-day operations, continuous improvements and Product developments.

We keep appraised of latest available technology and how it can be used, and, working with IT, support our stakeholders in selecting the right technology and functionality to solve their problems, while driving alignment across PM/Businesses. Our team consists of a unique mix of tech savvy Finance Professionals, Project Managers and Data Specialists, able to support processes and deliver holistic, sustainable solutions in an agile fashion. Data specialists in the team, leveraging our unique position, work with other data experts to drive a common data improvement agenda across systems and processes we support, providing a foundation for achieving our vision.

During Internship you will be involved in:

• Interactions with world class experts and leaders
• Diverse range of projects
• Overview of planning process in an energy company
• Working knowledge of platforms supporting planning processes and complex data models (e.g., Oracle, Quorum Software (Planning Space), Anaplan).
• Product development experience and Agile ways of working (Scrum Team)
• Working knowledge of basic Anaplan concepts and model building.

We are looking for people with:

• Fluent English
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel is a must!)
• Problem solving orientation
• Continuous improvement mindset - appetite to learn and understand how solutions/systems work
• Basics of data analysis and analytical techniques
• Experience/knowledge of programming/modelling (e.g. VBA, python), databases (SQL) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) would be an asset
• Understanding of Finance/ Financial Accounting is an additional advantage
