Security Architect - Hybrid position - Warsaw

About this role

The Information Security Architect will be responsible for working directly with the CISO in setting the strategy and priority of actions by the Information Security Department.

As part of the Information team, the security architect will be expected to help provide guidance and direction to other team members in matters related to security. This role will engage on enterprise portfolio projects and consult on new technologies to be implemented. This role also leads efforts to identify and implement appropriate risk management activities and their priority, as well as collaborating with IT departments to architect business solutions that are secure and functional.

• Define and develop the system security architecture and design
• Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates
• Plan’s security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards
• Implements security systems and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures
• Upgrade’s security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Perform security design reviews to identify risks or capability gaps
• Continuous evaluation, development, and improvement of the overall security controls
• Participate in proof of concepts and assist in defining security technology direction enabling IT and business strategy
• Alignment of IT and information security controls across Group companies
• Help to develop and maintain the suite of Technical Security Standards necessary to ensure a consistent and up to date technically secure environment
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

About You

• Significant experience in Security Design and Architecting at least; in particular
• Technical background as an IT/Security engineer or analyst
• Previous experience as an Information Security Architect
• Prior Cloud experience, especially the Microsoft Azure platform
• Track record of delivery on security technology projects
• Prior experience in security incident management
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, LAN/WAN technologies, switching, routing, VoIP and telephony technologies, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), vulnerability assessment and patch management tools
• Solid knowledge of firewalls, applications, data centers, networks
• Strong leadership in information security
• Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to deal with uncertainty on complex projects
• Desire to work autonomously within a small dynamic team

This role will be hybrid, but travel to our office in Warsaw, will be required, when needed by the business.
