Laboratory Support - Summer Trainee

Daily Activities

You will be responsible for plan, design and execute items in laboratory area. Coordinate activities within own responsibility area. Will be coached by other team members in solving engineering problems. Typically participate in reviews of own or neighboring projects. May undertake technical training responsibilities. Work with internal customer being an interface to Business Line. Your scope of work will include daily cooperation with project managers in planning activities.

• HP/Quanta servers  
• Unix/Linux

• Windows/AD: 
• Active Directory (AD) – administration for: AD users, AD groups, Group memberships, Group Policy 
• OS installation (Prepare OS Image, configure deployment) 
• Implement security hardening requirements and configurations 
• Maintain Patching and remediate known vulnerabilities  

Our Expectations

• Student after 2nd year of Bachelor or Engineer degree studies in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Technology or equivalent education 
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) 
• Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to learn quickly 
• Network: 
• Understanding of network technologies  
• Cisco vendor specific knowledge is a big plus – CCNA or equivalent knowledge 
• Cloud: 
• Basic knowledge of Linux (work in cli, gathering information about the system, work with the file system, configure network) 
• Basic knowledge of VMware, KVM and OpenStack 
• Hardware knowledge (server components) 
• Bash/Python scripting is a big plus 
• Windows/AD: 
• Knowledge of Windows OS family (Workstation, Server) 
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory  
• PowerShell scripting is a big plus
