Junior Software Engineer

Great to meet you! We are Upside — a team crazy about delivering high quality and ambitious software projects for companies such as University of Toronto, Framebridge, Artemest and Mineski Global. Next to our Client-facing work, we also develop one of the biggest open-source e-commerce framework Spree Commerce (currently at over 12 000 stars on Github). We run Upside focusing on knowledge, autonomy and great collaboration - with our Clients and internally.

#TeamUpside is currently over 20 people strong (Fullstack/Backend/Frontend Software Developers, QAs, UX/UI Designers) and we’re searching for new teammates to join us! Right now, we're looking for Junior Software Engineers to join our growing team and learn how to work in a development team providing services to worlds’ leading digital companies.

Salary:

B2B: 6 700 - 9 100 PLN net + VAT 

Civil Law Contract (UZ): 5 400 - 7 800 PLN gross

Including additional paid days off

Location:

Kraków with hybrid work opportunity (no option for fully remote work).

Job requirements

→ Decent knowledge of at least one backend programming language and the willingness to learn more.

→ Eagerness to acquire new skills.

→ Basic knowledge of networking and distributed systems.

→ Basic knowledge of SQL databases.

→ Basic knowledge of version control system.

→ A degree or an on-going studies in Computer Science (or related).

→ Great command of written and spoken English (B2 and above) and Polish (C1 or native).

→ Availability to join the team on a full-time basis.

It's even better if you have:

→ Basic knowledge of front-end technologies.

→ Familiarity with OOP principles and techniques.

→ Familiarity with UNIX-like operating systems
