FROM THE TEAM:

“At the back end of every company that deals with considerable amount of data there are some Big Data technologies that helps to discover what is hidden at first sight. In IG currently we are analyzing and storing data using Hadoop ecosystem and Splunk/Elastic stack technologies for log aggregation platforms.

Students and graduates who intern with us will have the opportunity to work on Big Data technologies used at IG from admin/devops perspective. Currently we are beginning our journey with one of the hot topics called observability. As a core of proposed solution are going to utilize Splunk and here is the pair of hands we would seek for help. In addition we are further developing tailored ecosystem around Elastic stack and maintaining Hadoop Platform.”

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Manage Hadoop/Elastic/Splunk clusters
• Implement new and improve existing functionalities on mentioned techs
• Automate tasks using Puppet/custom solutions
• Create visualizations, dashboards and searches
• Participate in creation of anomaly detection framework

WHAT YOU SHOULD CONTRIBUTE WITH:

• Passion for Linux and BigData
• Linux knowledge is a requirement
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Some scripting skills (Python preferred)
• Good communication skills – Written and spoken English to a B2 level ideally
• Positive and enthusiastic mind-set to new challenges
• Be eligible to work in Poland
