FROM THE TEAM:

“You will be part of Data Engineering team that straddles both London, UK and Kraków, Poland. We look after the data lake in AWS, which will eventually contain any and all data produced by IG. The data aims to be complete, available as close to real time as possible (5 minute delay in general) and governed according to strict data quality rules. The data lake allows all IG users to have access to the same, consistent source of data for their analytical needs, be that regulatory reporting, machine learning or even AI.

Also under the purview of Data Engineering team are the applications previously developed by the Marketing Intelligence Systems (MIS) team, which include several machine learning models.

The skillset of Data Engineering is varied, including Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Scala, AWS services, SQL and Oracle BI.”

WHAT YOU SHOULD CONTRIBUTE WITH:

• Best in class programming skills using Java and Scala
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Fluent English
• Ambitious attitude researching and resolving problems/issues
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in demanding environment
• Attention to detail, meeting regular deadlines, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Be eligible to work in Poland

• Experience with Apache Spark
• Messaging technologies like Apache Kafka, JMS
